"Everything Old is New Again “

"We're gonna make you laugh. Much of today's best entertainment was born long ago.
We will take you back to the beginning, and bring you into today's most
popular comedy and music. The best of TV, stage, radio, performers.
You'll be tapping your toes and laughing out loud!”

More than 30 poeple joined us for another fun-filled night
at the Heritage Square Music Hall on Thursday , June 22.
Most all took advantage of the fabulous buffet dinner before the show.
Many felt this was the best show they had ever seen at Heritage Square.
What a wonderful evening we all had!

Our third annual tea, hosted by Kay Lemons, on Saturday! This is always a special event featuring tea cookies, cakes, fruit, sandwiches and other goodies - as well as delicious tea! Our entertainment this year will be Colleen Estes Cassell presenting “Hats ‘n History,” a look at 100 years of hats! (Speaking of hats, please note this is our Red Hat event for this month as well!) The tea is open to all ladies of St. Paul’s as well as friends, relatives, and neighbors. Cost is $10. Please RSVP to Helen Erickson by Thursday, June 1st. Don’t miss this chance to share an afternoon with some of the most wonderful ladies in the world! Invite a friend and join us!

Passion Play on Maundy Thursday We are wanting to do something different this year for our Maundy Thursday Service. Our plans are to attend the “Passion Play of Denver” which will be at the Crossroads Church of Denver near the corner of Kipling and I-70. This is free with a free-will offering taken. It should be a wonderful experience to help us prepare our hearts for the final days of Lent and Easter. Going as a group, we will be admitted early. If you are interested in going, sign up quickly so that we can make reservations. The date is April 13 at 7:00 pm. We can meet at St. Paul’s at 5:45 to go as a group or meet at Crossroads at 6:00 pm.

Exciting New Multi-Church Sunrise Easter Service!

New Multi-Church Sunrise Easter Service! A group of Lakewood churches is coming together to do an Easter Sunrise Service at Lakewood Heritage Park amphitheater. The service will include dramatic readings, music, and prayer. It will be a great way to interact with other churches on something we all believe in - the resurrection of Christ! The service is at 6am at the Lakewood Heritage Park amphitheater. To get there, turn in from Wadsworth on Ohio; this is just south of the Lakewood City Hall building. More details will be available soon!

April brings us five Sundays. I would like to designate April 30 as “Five for Five Sunday”. I want to challenge each St. Paul’s member to bring five canned goods for Jeffco Action to worship that Sunday. There will also be a fifth offering plate to receive a special offering for Jeffco as well. In the fifth offering plate please give in increments of five; five one-dollar bills, five-dollar bills or five of any other bill the Spirit moves you to give. If you can only give five nickels, five dimes, or five quarters, they will be accepted with just as much gratefulness. This church has always risen to the needs of the community and I believe this will be another time the members of St. Paul’s will prove to be equal to the task. God continues to bless us and to Him we give the glory.

The Spaghetti Dinner Fund-raiser on Sunday, March 19, 2006 was well attended by St. Paul's members and friends. The figures are as follows: 51 People were served; $494.00 was collected; $126.00 paid out for expenses - was also donated. What a Blessing!! This money will be used toward the stained glass windows on the south side of the Narthex. A BIGGGGG THANK YOU to all who helped You know who you are!

Your donations raised $494 toward the cost of the stained glass windows on the south side of the church. With contributions from the Women's and Men's Fellowship we have enough money to cover the cost and the windows have been ordered.
