Programs for St. Paul's Hurricane
Katrina Relief | Thank
You St. Paul’s!
Our
special collections in September 2005 for the Red Cross and the victims of hurricane
Katrina brought in more than $2200! What a generous donation for our small, but
mighty congregation! We also donated 10% of the proceeds from our Fall Festival,
$106, which went to the hurricane victims through the Salvation Army. The
people of St. Paul’s have opened their hearts and their wallets for our fellow
Americans who are in desperate need. THANK YOU! |
| Bonfils
Blood Drive |
 St.
Paul's holds a blood drive for the Bonfils Blood Center each fall, usually in
October. Bonfils needs to collect 4,200 units of blood every week to meet Colorado’s
needs and to maintain a state of blood supply readiness to support any unforeseen
events. Donating blood is an important way to help our community and the people
who need this vital resource.
Thanks
to all who are able to donate! |

| Christmas
Families Christmas
2005 was the second year for our Giving Tree. Although the congregation of St.
Paul's has provided folks in need with mountains of Christmas presents for years,
our Giving Tree stretched the reach a little further. Using
a few local elementary schools, we received the names of five families in need
of help. These families were not only in financial need, but needed food as well.
You responded with approximately 80 total gifts plus a $25 King Soopers Certificate
for each family! You made Christmas beautiful for those 5 families - not only
providing them physical presents, but showing them that someone truly does care.
What a precious Christmas gift indeed. The
people of St. Paul’s are amazingly generous and have truly giving hearts. Thank
you for giving Christmas to five families who may have had nothing without you!

Coats
for Colorado 2005 Once
again you have risen to and surpassed a mission goal! In
2004 you brought in 147 coats. This year you were challenged to bring in 162 coats,
and you provided 169 warm, comfy coats for the people of Colorado. Thank
you one and all! |

| Colorado
Christian Home "Dress
a Child for School Program" St.
Paul's participated in the "Dress a Child for School Program" in July
of 2004. Our goal of $495 to clothe three children was reached and surpassed.
We received and sent $602 to the Colorado Christian Home for this special campaign.
Thank you for opening your hearts to these children!

| Compassion
Fund | Our
church has an outreach fund to help our members who may on occasion be faced with
an emergency. Our mission committee has become more involved with the outreach
of our church and has been working on many projects. The Compassion Fund is unique
in that it will be reserved for church family needs. In
the book of Acts and also in James the Bible speaks of taking care of the church
family. We want to be that example set by the early church by adding this outreach.
Please
do not hesitate to let Tom or Pastor Kim know if an emergency arises. This is
a ministry that we want to use and share. This is a discreet fund distributed
with utmost confidentiality. If you would like to give to this fund, place your
offering in the collection plate and mark it “Compassion Fund”. |

| Jeffco
Action Center St.
Paul's has a constant ministry to support the Jeffco action Center with food.
There are baskets in the back of the church to collect donations every week. Additionally,
we collect extra food and financial donations at special times, or times of great
need. The men's and women's fellowship took a tour of the Jeffco Action Center
in July so that all would understand the scope of the need and the amazing reach
of the Action Center. | We
had a special Thanksgiving collection this year. Pastor Kim took the "Turkey
Trolley" through the pews on November 13th, dubbed "Bring a Turkey to
Church Week," collecting 38 turkeys and $60 for Jeffco Action! Additionally,
the Jeffco action center was our selected charity to receive our Souper
Bowl offering. |

| Souperbowl
of Caring 2006 |
Sixteen
years ago, a Super Bowl Sunday prayer inspired a group of young people to do something
more than celebrate a football game. They created the Souper Bowl of Caring, a
youth-led grassroots movement that is now an international event. This
year, our youth joined young people in churches all across the country to collect
money for those who are hungry and hurting. In 2005, 11,000 groups in all 50 states
and outside the United States participated in the Souper Bowl of Caring generating
over $4 million. Since
going nationwide in 1993, these youth have raised more than $28 million for people
in need. Participation in the Souper Bowl of Caring helps tens of thousands of
youth put God’s love into action. Being part of something that reaches around
the world makes every young person feel the power of God’s love. Here
at St. Paul's, we collected food items as well as a standard collection on Souper
Bowl Sunday. Everything collected went to
the Jeffco Action Center. |
| “Lord
even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of
those who don’t even have a bowl of soup to eat.” |
2006
was a tremendous year for the Souper Bowl here at St. Paul's! We collected $298
plus 490 food items. Our
total of $778 was 3 1/2 times last year's collection, and more than double 2004
and 2005 combined. What a great offering for the Jeffco Action Center! Thank
you St. Paul's!. |

| Tsunami
Relief | On
Sunday, January 30th, 2004 we received a special offering for Tsunami relief efforts,
through World Vision. This included half of the general fund offering plus funds
designated to the relief.
We
collected over $2200.00 for Tsunami Relief! What
an amazing group of giving people we have at St. Paul's Thank
you thank you for your tremendous generosity! | |

| Women's
Empowerment Program The
Women's Fellowship's supports the "Women's Empowerment Program", a program
designed to help women who have recently been released from prison get back on
their feet again. Each December the Women's Fellowship collects items and creates
gift bags full of personal items, from soap to shampoo, lotion to toothpaste,
and even socks, gloves, and scarfs!
